Purpose: The purpose of a DBA/Analyst is to support the Staff by creating, reviewing, maintaining, and tuning database functions of our mature Sponsor Port application. In addition the right candidate would be involved in design of future upgrades and products.
General Description: A major portion of this position is support of an existing ASP application and the 30+ installs of that application. In addition, on-going development and optimization will require new development, design and research.
Essential Duties
- Engage in data tier development and design.
- Responsible for setup for SQL Server 2000 and SQL Server 2005 software
- DBA support application development projects including Database modeling, both conceptual and physical Database maintenance, testing and code.
- Establish and update standards for database development.
- Documentation
- Maintain and write stored procedures, DTS, and SSIS.
Must be able to
- Administer and configure SQL Server databases
- Code in T-SQL, DTS, and SSIS
- Use Red Gate Tools
Minimum Requirements
- Great organization
- 4 to 7 years experience in three of the following four technical disciplines...
- SQL 2000 and/or SQL 2005 coding
- Physical database design
- Logical database design
- Performance tuning
- Passion for technology, ability to learn quickly, and commitment to do whatever it takes to keep make us successful. Team player with the ability to juggle multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
- Self-starter, must be comfortable with taking ownership of a project from start to finish. Lots of Passion, motivation, and initiative
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication
- Microsoft certification a +
- SQL Server
- MCSE or MSDBA
